My name is Erin Bacon, and I own and manage Joyous Events. Let me share with you some of my experience and background in coordinating weddings and other special events. I have approximately six years of experience in the wedding industry. I have planned and serviced weddings throughout Southern California. From small and intimate to large and extravagant Joyous Events is able to help you create the wedding you have always dreamed about. Joyous Events is also a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants in Orange County.

For over a year and a half I worked with Melinda Dixon Professional Wedding Consultants. I took over her business and formed Joyous Events during the Summer of 2000. At that time I worked closely with Ms. Dixon planning and coordinating wedding rehearsals, ceremonies and receptions. Servicing weddings at Private Homes, Country Clubs, Fine Hotels and Outdoor facilities.

Prior to my association with Ms. Dixon, I worked for over two and one-half years for The Newport Beach Marriott Hotel Tennis Club. While at the hotel I gained valuable experience working with couples getting married as well as with vendors who participated in the special occasions. At the hotel I also coordinated the rehearsals and wedding ceremonies. Following an established order of activities, I orchestrated the receptions and worked closely with vendors to keep the events running smoothly and to ensure that the wedding parties and guests' needs were met.

My experience also includes working for over four years for the Walt Disney Company. While at the Walt Disney Company, I had the opportunity to work on many special events, including weddings, private parties and the opening of the New Tomorowland. During that time, I learned the importance of listening to details, following time lines and working with others as a team and team leader.
